What distinguishes MTM from competing dictation and document delivery services?

Three things actually: business advantages, technology advantages, and customer care and quality.

Business advantages: From a financial standpoint, MTM provides rapid turnaround times and guaranteed accuracy leading to swift billing and quick reimbursement, thus reducing your time in accounts receivable and improving your cash flow. With our experience, we also can typically deliver real cost savings of 10% or higher over your current transcription provider. By cutting your outsourcing costs for transcription services, we'll help make your operating budgets go further.

Customizable technology: MTM provides you with customizable technology to meet your needs and preferences. We are an end-to-end service provider providing the software, hardware and interfaces to maximize the efficiency of your transcription processing and delivery. While we have the ability to customize, we also have the ability to help you standardize your dictation and document delivery system. Standardizing wherever possible can have a tremendous impact in reducing costs and in improving quality by minimizing errors in the medical record.

Customer care and quality: Everyone at MTM owns quality and service 24/7/365. This commitment starts from the moment we form our implementation team and continues as we deliver customer care the way you want it. A few examples of how we take customer care to a higher level are building templates to produce reports in formats you're accustomed to; providing extra levels of quality assurance; establishing a account-specific style guide to ensure better quality reports with fewer errors; and implementing ongoing processes for receiving feedback and upgrading our systems.

Do you QA the work?

Absolutely. All transcriptionists' work is proofed 100% for the first two weeks of employment. At that time, a determination is made whether to continue to 100% proof their documents or to move them to monthly random QA checks in accordance with MTM's formal Quality Assurance Program.

What is your TAT?

MTM will work with your TAT needs. We can meet virtually any TAT, if we have guaranteed daily volumes. Otherwise, we use the 24-hour TAT for most transcribed reports.

Do you provide STAT coverage?

Yes, we do provide STAT coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

How much do you charge?

MTM charges per line. Each client is assessed using the same criteria: templates, volume, system setup, and individual customization. Once we have fully assessed the needs, we will produce a proposal representing a per line charge.

Can MTM transcribe all types of medical reports?

MTM's medical transcriptionists have experience in all medical specialties and report types, including but not limited to pathology reports, emergency room reports, operative reports, discharge summaries, transfer summaries, admission notes, H&Ps, consultations, progress notes, psychiatric evaluations, rehabilitation reports, oncology reports, radiology, EEGs and endoscopies.

How long does it take for MTM's medical transcriptionists to learn a new account?

It takes 10 days at the maximum for MTM's medical transcriptionists and quality assurance specialists to learn the intricacies of a new account. They learn the dictation style and accent of each person who dictates, physician names, institutional names and acronyms, as well as any other specific reference information medical transcriptionists may need to produce a complete and accurate document.

How does MTM's implementation process proceed after signing a contract with a client?

Once an agreement is signed with a system/facility, MTM assigns a dedicated implementation team and project manager to your account. This team ranges from production to technical support professionals who know the intricacies of our systems and processes as well as the details of your account including the workflow of dictation, transcription and report routing at your facilities. During the first 60 days, additional levels of QA are provided to ensure accuracy. Weekly reviews are scheduled with the client to obtain feedback and improve service. Service representatives are available 24/7/365.

Is MTM HIPAA compliant?

Absolutely. MTM is dedicated to adhering to the strictest security and confidentiality standards in order to guarantee the safety of your patient information. As we value the privacy of your patients and your records, we take great strides to ensure that your records are protected in a safe and secure area to which unauthorized access is absolutely impossible.
